I had wanted to read this book for years, and it certainly lived up to my expectations! As a long time lover of chic lit, it's probably surprising that this was my first true bonkbuster - although, I don't think it will be my last.
It is a lot of fun. By parts thrilling, shocking, sexy and sometimes off-putting, it was not quite as blue as I thought it would be but was instead a love letter to female friendship. Even though the women go their own ways through life, they are in each other's corners, always, and it was a delight to read about these women who are different from each other but intensely loyal, flawed, honest and bright. I thoroughly enjoyed the ride.

I remember watching the mini-series on television and I found this book in a thrift store. A secret guilty pleasure of mine.
One of my favorite trashy novels. Re-read in 2019 after purchasing on Kindle. I still like how the four girls supported each other to become successful and happy, even if some of the stuff they went through was super cringy, especially from a modern point of view.

Perfect drama queen reading. All glamour, jet setting, champagne and caviar. Well apart from the teenage pregnancies, domestic violence and rape. Fantastic fun and kept me guessing right to the end.
