Ya había leído algún libro de Agatha Christie y sobre la saga de Hercules Poirot, pero he decidido leer todos en orden.
Me ha encantado ver otra perspectiva de las investigaciones de Poirot y ver como la gente reacciona a sus investigaciones.

Agatha Christie really kept me guessing! I don't have any major gripes with the story.
Rating: 4/5 Stars
I haven't read an Agatha Christie book in quite a while, so I was happy to pick this one up as an audiobook to listen to while crocheting. It sounds easy enough, right? Minus the fact that I don't usually do audiobooks because I get too distracted! Honestly, I'm proud of myself for making it through a 9 hour audiobook. It was a feat for the ages.

Honestly, I don't feel like there's a ton to say for this book. It was good, and I never guessed who did it. The clues kept winding me around and around and I truly only got the answer at the end. I enjoyed the characters and a decent amount of them were well fleshed out. I think that there were some more major characters that just sorta fell away, but perhaps I just missed some info with my miniscule listening attention span.
I think my major issue with the novel is simply that she purposefully hides information and mistakes you. I wish I was given all the clues, even if it is slowly, to come to my own conclusion rather than be given the conclusion before I even get the last clue. Perhaps that's just me wanting to solve it myself. There's just little details that seemed to just get thrown in at the end. Sure, I guess it was a twist, but I really wished I at least had a chance to deduce the killer.

I will give some affordance because I believe this is Agatha Christie's absolute first novel! I've read [b:And Then There Were None|16299|And Then There Were None|Agatha Christie|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1638425885l/16299._SY75_.jpg|3038872] and it certainly offers more a solvable mystery than this book. I think I will continue with this series, perhaps even through audiobook, although I will be disappointed to have to switch to various narrators. Can't they just have one person read all the books? I don't want to switch between this girl and that guy and then this other girl. Maybe I ask for too much in my books lol.
Overall, I would recommend it if you want to read the entire series, but I won't recommend it as a stand alone. It introduces the characters well and does have an interesting story, but the whole random clue AFTER the end seemed to defeat the purpose of readers getting to try and solve the murder. She does do a great job misleading us through most of the novel though and I definitely was disproven several times. It's Agatha Christie y'all, you can't critique the queen of mystery. It's like Murder, She Wrote - timelessly entertaining.

Rating System:
★ - Avoid at all costs. Don't even look at it.
★★ - I would recommend for people not to read it.
★★★ - It was okay. I might recommend for certain people.
★★★★ - I'd recommend it to most people.
★★★★★ - I'd literally gift this to someone. Must read.
