I'm sad this is the last book. This series was so cute and sweet.
Maybe the conclusion has a little bit too much of a perfect happy ending where everything was tied up a little too perfectly with a shiny bow, but I don't hate that nearly as much in queer stories because the world needs stories with pure queer joy. And while this series got heavy at points, the HEA helps make that healing instead of traumatic.
Besides, all these characters are incredible and setting them all get a happy ending is so rewarding.
I recommend this series for anyone looking for queer manga, especially ones focusing on gender who also love cuteness but also didn't mind dark and heavy parts of the story.

Overall: 3.5/5 - the last two volumes felt a bit rushed! i wish this was longer :( the characters were wonderful though. it’s quite hard to find a nonbinary mc so reading this was a pleasant experience.
Mei and Koto should’ve been together, change my mind.
I loved the series overall and wish we could see more of all the characters and see how they grow up and live their lives (because the ending felt a bit rushed, especially with Mogumo's family/father.)

This was a great conclusion to the manga c: The author managed to tie everything together with a simultaneously emotional, hopeful and sweet finale. What I liked most about it is how it manages to be informative while also having realistic and complex characters. While the author isn't queer himself, he manages to write a respectful queer story which never foregoes nuance! I love all the characters, and I'm glad they all got the ending they deserve :3
I love this series so much! The final volume really hit home (no pun intended) as Mogumo returns to their family. Their bravery and courage made me tear up as they explained their gender identity, especially since they knew how strongly their father disapproved of them. Shown in flashbacks, this volume reveals Mogumo's struggles over the years, from being a young child and wanting to wear cute clothes, to feeling distraught by gendered school uniforms, and for continually having their truth be ignored or dismissed. Tetsu, Mogumo's boyfriend, supports them in the conversation with their parents, but the real turning point is when Mogumo's mother reveals that she has been reading books about LGBT identities, and encourages her husband to do the same. I liked that we also got to see more about the parents' lives and struggles. In the end, there's a happy resolution for the family and Mogumo! I was tearing up at parts, and felt so much relief and joy. This series captures many of the feelings I have about being nonbinary, gender presentation, and trying to live authentically in a heteronormative society. There's representation of transgender folks and other queer identities. I like that all the characters show that they're still learning and that it's okay to not have all the answers. Highly recommend!
