It was well written, but the style of the characters was a bit annoying.

4.5

I love the humour of this book! Spencer and Charlotte are really cute and banter like crazy. The story told by a male perspective was an original move and I loved the family relationships.

Awesome romantic comedy! I started with book three, and even though they can be read alone, I enjoy finding out about the friends!

Feels like exaggerated guy POV

I've read things wortten from a male perspective by women before but this gives off adult frat bro voice if that makes sense. Sure he's smart and funny but he's also crass and use alot of softer words to describe things. Very direct and it fits the character. I can't say it's a favorite way to read hot steam scenes but I'll keep reading. The stories are interesting.

When Spencer needs his best friend Charlotte to agree to be his fake fiancé so that his father can close a business deal she is reluctant to help until she realizes that agreeing to this will also keep her cheating ex from trying to get back together with her. Spencer is a womanizer and extremely cocky but knows that he can back it up in the bedroom. When he and Charlotte fake their relationship their passion for one another becomes real and they decide to have a friends with benefits arrangement until the business deal closes. The closer the get the more they realize that they may have had feelings for one another all along and the more they fake it the more real they want their relationship to become.
When Spencer's father's business associate discovers that their engagement is a fake he backs out of the business deal even though Charlotte tells everyone that it was her idea to fake the engagement to get her ex out of her life. Spencer and Charlotte work things out and end up together things going great between them.

This book was okay. I didn't like the solo male POV. I thought that it was lacking without Charlotte's POV. Their relationship was cute and their banter okay but I didn't see sizzling hot chemistry. It was sweet that they took care of one another but it felt like they were friends and suddenly in love I didn't see much of a build up with that.

A very funny read! I enjoyed it very much!

An easy, quick, funny read. Thoroughly enjoyed reading instead of doing my homework.

I love friends to lovers stories that are fun and steamy and just a little dramatic. This one satisfied on all accounts.
I loved Charlotte and Spencer. Their friendship was fun and when they decided to be pretend engaged the steam started to rise. The uptight family trying to buy the jewelry store was ridiculous and I really loved how Charlotte put the mom in her place.
The make up was fantastic too and I cannot wait to read the next book.
