I think this is an ELA must read (so much more relevant to Americans than ... all of Shakespeare). Baby Suggs was my favorite character ... I might go looking for fan fiction. It's an honest look at what slavery, colonialism, and segregation perpetrated. Toni Morrison did an excellent job of incorporating mystery and slowly revealing what brought the characters to 124 and to the actions they took there.

Es el libro de la dignidad, de la memoria, del trauma, de la entereza y la fuerza.

"There is a loneliness that can be rocked. Arms crossed, knees drawn up; holding, holding on, this motion, unlike a ship's, smooths and contains the rocker. It's an inside kind - wrapped tight like skin. Then there is a loneliness that roams. No rocking can hold it down. It's alive, on its own. A dry spreading thing that makes the sound of one's own feet going seem to come from a far-off place."
