An excellent survey of modern transgender history and political movements from their beginnings in Europe to up to the early 2000’s in America. Very accessible to readers of all backgrounds and knowledge levels, and I think a good jumping off point for those looking to understand in what ways our understanding of transness has evolved- or remained the same- over time.

This was good. I learned a lot and had things refreshed for me, but because it was short it was just information after information and I found it hard to take in at times. If this was longer and things were expanded on I think it would have been more beneficial for me.

Good introduction to trans history in the US, covering major events up to ~2017. If you are generally familiar with queer history/studies maybe skip/skim the definitions chapter as some of the labels are outdated/wrongly defined.
