A book about taking a look into a book and sharing it with someone, which is fabulous. The story isn't really a story. It's about describing things - gnarly gnome, splashy whale, steamy loco, etc. It also has rhyming words, too. It feels very fantastical and a bit disjointed in connecting one page to the next. The best parts were at the very beginning and very end.

Reviewed from a library copy.

This book seemed to want to do more than it actually accomplished. I think children will enjoy the singsong rhythm but without much else to offer, I can't imagine this book becomes a favorite.

Just didn't make much since and was a let down after the intrigue from the cover for me.

I like this more than I might otherwise because I want to take it into a classroom and have everyone illustrate words the way that Kevin Henkes Hawkes has done here. "'I am Sore,' says Librarian's Feet."

I just don't understand this one. There wasn't a story I could follow, so the book didn't work for me.

Fun introduction to new adjectives for kids, but I don't know if I'll revisit it anytime soon.

A bit strange, but I think kids would enjoy it.

A good resource for teaching kids about adjectives, but as an independent read the narrative just felt odd.

A young girl and her father sit down to experience a book together, and it takes them into another world where they can "look, listen, and touch as such" the story.
