Good style, nice description. The plot was just okay.

Not as sharp and focused as Neuromancer, plus the vodou guys are just the Zionites again but worse. There's a lot of fun stuff here but it never really coheres into a story. Apparently this is the weakest of the trilogy, though. And the man can still write a sentence, no matter how meandering the combination of them is.

definitely an easier read than neuromancer - mostly because the pacing isn’t as urgent and there’s more descriptive world building. the plot was still full of action and continued to show the calamity of the Sprawl, excited to read the next one :)

Not the same payoff as Neuromancer, however still a fun ride.
