Gibson's style requires some patience, but once you make it past the thirty page mark, his novels usually turn out to be well worth the effort. "Count Zero" is no exception to this phenomenon.

Despite writing about technology, Gibson’s work is highly impressionistic- you’re never quite sure what is really going on and yet you can kind of sense it at the same time. It’s almost magical how he can drop you into a bit of chaos but keep the plot moving and your interest piqued. Count Zero has some real depth to it, much like the shadowy AI figures in its pages. Excellent.
