First of all, the artwork is gorgeous. The concept of the story is also good. It's the execution of the story that leads to a three star review. Not everything flows seamlessly and there are points where there seems to violence or gore thrown in just for the hell of it. The ending especially left me somewhat confused. I understand what happened but it wasn't really explained. Maybe that will come in volume two? With Jodorowsky at the helm, I doubt it. But I will definitely read the rest of the series since it is so short.
