Half of the time I wanted to slap the characters and other half I was innerly sobbing along the story. It was very powerful shift in Graham and the sisterly relations were as they usually are, balancing on a thinnest of blades inbetween of love and hate.

”i’d died a million deaths before i gave living a chance, and my first breath of life was taken from her lips.”

“his earth became my ground, his spirit became my soul. our kiss was as if heaven and hell collided together.”

Solid 4 stars.
Ive been in the longest reading slump- its been going on for 3-4 months now. I was only rereading my favourite books because I wasnt interested or excited for anything in particular. THIS book got me out of that slump though! Read it in 24 hours and I enjoyed it so much. It was a really cute, heartwarming read.

I have to be careful of Goodreads nominations in romance because some of those genres within that genre.
This was not .... it's a no for me.

We're off to an odd start…
"My eyebrows wiggled and my nose scrunched up as I moved on my tiptoes" Mmmmmmm what?
---
This author really loves making the male MC mistreat the female MC. They're always rude and mean. It makes me wish they never ended up together. What's up with making all the women lack a backbone?
---
Talon?? Really?
---
Another ending fumbled.

This was a good romance with a grumpy main character and a lovely, free and happy heroine. It’s a single dad romance with a few quite self obsessed characters.

Graham is a man who has a lot on his plate, a best selling author who finds himself the sole parent to his young baby daughter. Closed off and struggling Lucy comes to his rescue and shares the load with him.

There are some wonderful side characters who know
Graham really well and can overlook his harsh comments. Lucy finds him rude and abrupt but can see there is more to Graham behind his facade.

I enjoyed this slow burn romance
