read for school
+ interesting story
+ good morale
- sometimes reminded me too much of Gulliver's Travels (yuk)

This book is really cool as a capsule of older perceptions of fictional time travel- on that basis alone it’s worth a read, even if the story is a bit of a mess of analogies

good and fine for a single reading !! lots of imperialism, a cool premise, and the frame narrative was the coolest part.

I think it’s important to recognize the timing of this book and the fact that it is more or less the original Time Travel story. This is important because it doesn’t feel original anymore, now that the ideas have been used numerous times. It is good book and an easy read.
