I liked The Fiery Cross, but I don't know that it was my favorite in the Outlander series so far. It seemed like it dragged on a bit more than the other books. I still enjoyed it, but it felt heavy on the day to day stuff. I don't think my interest was fully peaked until around halfway in the book, which given the length is a while to only be somewhat interested in it. Once I was finally hooked the pace picked up quite a bit. There's a lot that happens in the last two hundred pages that has me eager to read the sixth book.

Good god I thought I would never get through this book. It's not to say that it wasn't interesting in parts, but it didn't need all those parts. I feel like the POV with Roger was completely unneeded and the book would have benefitted greatly from its absence. I also think that there were too many plotlines to try to throw together in one book, with the wedding mystery, the uprising, Steven Bonnet, Roger's ailments, etc. All of these overshadowed the real important story to me which was about the stones and the travelers. Ugh, I'm just annoyed that I had to go through 55 hours to finally get to that point. I need a break from this series for a while.

Verrrraaa nice. This one was good!! I like them in the America’s. Little confused when the regulator storyline was in full swing, way too many characters. After that, things picked up and were verrrra exciting and fun to read

I finally finished it! Not my favorite of the series because it was slow and disjointed. I do love the characters and will continue on!
