5/5 or 9.43/10. I don't read a lot of murder mysteries but I loved the vibes of this one.

What I Loved

Characters

The characters in both settings were fun! The family was fun to follow, and they each had a different personality. I'm a fan of historical fiction, especially when it's used in a unique way like this was. In the modern timeline, I loved the friend group. They were interesting and fun to follow!

Setting

Death at Morning House had such an interesting setting. I wasn't aware this place existed but it was a fun setting for the story. I loved how the house and the islands played a role in the story.

Plot

As I said at the top of the review, I'm not a big murder mystery person. I loved the story of this one. I thought it was interesting even if it did take a bit for the story to take off.

Audiobook

I enjoyed the narrator of this one. I think the voice style suited the story well. I also enjoyed the pacing overall.

Rep

This book had multiple queer characters including women loving women, and bisexuals which was great. I loved the slight romance this book had and hearing about the one in the past.
