This was such a cutie lil slow burn romance with academic enemies to lovers. Also love that it was based in Seattle. The one thing I will say is it was SLOW and only picked up at the every end and then it felt rushed.

I loved this book!! Rowan and Neil live rent free in my mind. This book follows Rowan and Neil who have been academic rivals competing for valedictorian since freshman year. Now as senior year ends and Rowan loses the title of valedictorian, she is determined to beat Neil at the Howl, the senior year scavenger hunt/mafia game. Through a turn of events, Rowan and Neil team up for the Howl and the adventure begins.

Initially, I thought this book wouldn’t be for me. I’ve been out of high school for quite some time and didn’t think I could relate to any of the characters. But, as I watched Rowan and Neil grapple with their feelings of being more than just academic rivals I couldn’t put this book down. I especially loved watching them struggle to keep their feelings to a strict rivalry; it had me KICKING MY FEET. Even watching Rowan navigate her fears of not being perfect was something that resonated with me at 28. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
