Very good collection of stories. None I didn't like, many I quite liked. Vonnegut had a knack for building suspense and ending with a surprising ironic twist, short-story gold.

Still not managed to read a Vonnegut novel yet, but I have enjoyed his short story collections. Some of the stories were really interesting, others a bit less so. An enjoyable collection though. 3.5 stars really.
Really enjoyed this. I haven't read Vonnegut in a while, and this was like catching up with an old friend.
These were funny little stories. Generally had a twist or a meaning right at the end. I feel like they captured my attention and my emotions, but I can’t recall which stories or why.
The thing that I love about Vonnegut is how natural his characters are. They act believably in the most peculiar situations. Even in the face of the impossible, he cuts through all the drama and gives us the desperations, selfishness, and obsessions of the true human spirit. I just finished a Chuck Pahlaniuk story collection and it's amazing how similar these two are in that regard - the main difference is that Chuck doesn't hold back on the language or the gore.
