Fine
This was fine. It didn't reinvent the wheel. I thought the "let's tar all famous men with the do not touch brush cause one did me dirty" shtick was a bit played out but it was just fine.

You would think that after seven books in this series, that you might have seen it all by now, but it’s not the case. Each member of this elite hockey team is different and amazing in their own right. They each have a unique story to tell and I fell for Wylde long before he met Clarke. You may remember that he is the bestie to Tacker and had helped him out immensely with his heartache when his fiancée died. He was also pivotal in helping Rafe get through the sorrow and pain of losing his father to cancer. To say Wylde is a stand up guy is an understatement. Yeah, ok he has a nickname that might depict his wild days but when he finds the right woman to pay all his attention to, it’s the past experience that helps him woo Clarke and help her trust his good intentions. And I adored the way he took things slow and didn’t rush into a lust relationship but built it to an everlasting one.
Clarke was a very smart woman, even if she fell for Aaron’s trickery when they first met, but he charmed her every day after that. She had major issues with dating a celebrity and she didn’t know if it was going to work. Being around Aaron more, showed her his determination and devotion. She got to see a side of him that I feel no one had before and it was fun to be apart of. I truly loved her place of work, gosh wouldn’t we all want to own a shop like hers?!! I think what I liked most about this book was the mutual respect and responsibility they felt to mend their relationship. It positively was a combined effort to reach their HEA. I also love that we get a glimpse into the next novel in this series. Kane is another that has me intrigued.

Not my favourite although still well written, as you expect from this author. Just not what I was looking for right now. I did love the change in Aaron as he was obviously looking for one. I hope we get a story about the backup goaltender. I think we need more about athletes with disabilities.
I'll have to admit that my reading has been all over the place for me and it took me a little bit longer to get into Wylde and Clark's story. But I'm also noticing that my preferences are starting to change during this crazy time that we're all in.
Wylde
is book 7 in the Arizona Vengeance
series and I'm starting to realize that I'm starting to judge the books a little bit more since I have so many faves from this series!
Despite Wylde having a bit of a reputation, he was a very intriguing character, plus it's hard to knock out a guy that knows his literature. I'm sure he'd be a feature favorite on Hot Guys Reading, it's a thing, go check it out!
Understanding Clarke's hang-ups about dating a someone that's famous, I love that she constantly made Wylde work for it. And boy he does it so well.
I really did enjoy their story, but it didn't hit home like I hoped it would. It's definitely a solid addition to this series.

I loved seeing the Wylde man fall for the bookstore owner. Plus all the weddings!
I have to say this one was ok. Clarke (h) nerd girl bookworm / bookstore owner was too basic and sometimes the things she did made me eyeroll. Her being on a reality dating show seemed too unbelievable. The ending seemed abrupt that I had to go back and see if I missed anything. I guess not all books need epilogues but I was like "thats it?!" Wylde and Clarke sure are opposites, but what I was surprised in Wylde was what his dad did for a living. I just think for me nothing substantial happened needless to say it was a quick listen.
Narrators Teddy Hamilton and CJ Bloom were perfect for their characters though.
