"Those who came here are all dying. Listen to those Urado murdered. Get out!"

The conclusion to this arc was both horrendous and sad. Aided by his two lackeys, a rich mad man desperate to extend his life murdered so many innocent people in that house. He continued the murders even in death, killing so many that he reached the point where he stopped being a human and turned into a literal monster. The victims' families did not even get closure or even an inkling as to what happened to them in that horrible mansion, not even until the end.

This is the follow-up to the cliffhanger from the last volume. However, unlike that one, this just didn't creep me out. I wasn't reading it in the right setting, sure, but if a book is really creepy, then it'll creep me out no matter what I'm doing. So, that was a bit let down for me. I like being creeped out. The hairs on the back of my neck raise. I open the door to my room in the darkness and stare down my hallway, wishing that I didn't have to leave it. That's the hallmark of a good horror book, no matter if it's a straight novel or manga like this.

Monk is still my favorite. And, Mai still gets on my nerves.
