3.5, really. A fun read, but a bit gratuitous and too predictable. But fun! I needed a light read and this fit the bill perfectly.
Oh the feels and the nostalgia. Meg Cabot, you get me every time. Please write another one.
I desperately need more people to read The Princess Diaries. This book follows Mia as she navigates adulthood, wedding planning, and finding out she has a super secret sister. It is such a joy to revisit Mia as an adult to find how all of her Princess lessons and relationships have impacted her. While this book has a whole lot going on, it's still a satisfying read. This is truly a series that readers can grow up with and revisit with nostalgia as an adult.
It was full of clichés. It is a good read if you, like me, are only reading this for old times sakes. The story was okay and kind of predictable.
OMG I miss reading the princess diaries series! This book is just so funny and made me realized how much I miss reading about Mia's adventure!
I really wasn't impressed with this. I felt that some things didn't need to be answered and were rushed so that readers would have answers. I felt that other things were too neat. I felt like most of this book was an advertisement for the spin off series and not really about Mia. I was really disappointed by how little of the plot was about the wedding.
I was happy to read Mia's voice again and see more of her relationship with Michael. I actually didn't mind the new characters. That's about all I liked.
I'd give my copy away if it wasn't signed.

By far, this is my favorite book out this entire series! (I can also see why the head librarian moved this one from the YA section to the adult section upstairs. 😅)
So much happened in this book, but I think the fact that this one takes place several years after high school AND Mia gets to marry the man she's dreamed about marrying since high school made this one my favorite. You can tell that Mia's older and definitely more mature in this one (hooray for no more whining!) and that she's dealing with real life this time around instead of just the normal high school drama. I'm trying to not write too much for fear of adding spoilers, but I really think that this is the best book out of the Princess Diaries series and, that if you've made it this far, you won't be disappointed!
