My Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars.
Disclaimers: I received an e-galley of this novel from the publisher in exchange for my honest opinion. I was not obligated to write a good review nor did I receive any compensation for writing this review.
My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: Meg Cabot is an excellent writer. I remember enjoying this series in jr. high and high school. I also really enjoyed her piece on 9-11 was fantastic as well.
Cabot has always been great at capturing my interest from the very first page and keeping it. I have loved seeing her conclude this story.
At first, I was worried that I wouldn't like this new addition. I'm always worried when authors come back years later and add onto the series. However, I shouldn't have worried. It was almost like I'd grown up in the same time that Mia did.
Fans of the series will love this one.
So why 3.5 stars? It stood out, but wasn't quite good enough to be 4 stars.
Can I read the series out of order? You could but you'd be missing out on a lot of backstory. I'd recommend reading in order.
Warnings/Side-notes: Lots of sexual innuendos. It's an adult book. However, the innuendos are pretty vague so it's appropriate for young adult readers as well. The language is clean as well.
The Wrap-up: An enjoyable conclusion to the series.
Love,

I didn't realize how much I missed Princess Mia's endearing, amusing writing style until I started reading this book! Royal Wedding is everything I've needed (but didn't know I needed) since I read what I thought was the last Princess Diaries book in eighth grade. Mia's voice has changed a bit—it's more mature and self-confident now—but she's still enough like her teenage self to bring back memories of her past journals. I couldn't have picked a better book to get me through pre-AP exam week misery, and I'm SO hoping we'll get another unexpected Princess Diaries installment in the future.
Good book, just wish there was more on the actual wedding.
idek what to say about this book. it is everything i wanted it to be and so much more. it is so beautiful and funny and perfect and just shgdkjafdhagkjfdhgc ALL THE FEELS.
MIA THERMOPOLIS IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE CHARACTERS. she helped me so much when i was growing up. i started reading the princess diaries series when i was 11 years old...so 10 years ago...i have wondered about whether meg cabot would write about mia and michael getting married and whens he announced she would and it would be called ROYAL WEDDING I DIED LDHGKJHDFK. like finally.
i had to wait a whole month and a week later to get it because it only came out in the UK in July. i so wanted to savour it but i just couldn't. i wanted to just read and never stop. but then it ended too quickly.
but ALL THE CHARACTERS. LHGJKHDF
LARS AND THE ORANGE
GRANDEMERE AND HER SASS AND HER POODLES OMG
OLIVIA GRACE BEING ADORABLE
FRICKIN MICHAEL MOSCOVITZ AKA THE BEST BOYFRIEND EVER
THE SNOWFLAKE NECKLACE
HER FRIENDS..;LDGJF ESPECIALLY TINA AND LILLY
HER MUM
OMG ROCKY AND HIS FARTING OBSESSION
FAT LOUIE
just everything...
THE PROPOSAL WAS EVERYTHING EVEN THOUGH IT WAS SO CLICHE BUT SO ADORABLE AND MIA DESERVE ALL THE HAPPINESS SO PROUD OF EVERYTHING EVEN IF SHE IS ONE GIANT BIG NEUROTIC NERD OF A PRINCESS I WILL ALWAYS LOVE HER.
AND MICHAEL WITH HIS WEIRDO EMOJIS OMG WHAT A DORK I LOVE HIM SO MUCH LIKE FOR REAL..THIS IS WHY I FELL IN LOVE WITH BOYS IN BOOKS. *swoon*
this book is hilarious...it made me laugh and cry in the best ways. also the plot twist..i should have seen it coming. the sister thing i knew about from the promos and stuff and i defo want to read about olivia grace but the OTHER DOUBLE THING *cough* i mean there were sooo many hints but i just thought it was too much to be true but then BAM and i was laughing so much and it was just so brilliant.
also her wedding gown is beautiful (in my head obv) and seriously it's such a perfect book. the best kind of pick me up and it is exactly want i needed. i knew i could trust meg cabot.

Like many others, I grew up reading the princess diaries and to be able to see mia as an adult, to be able to follow her journey again was amazing. Many people were expecting more to the book, or a different more 'grown up' mia, but honestly I feel that wouldn't stand true to rest of the series. It was a lovely read, and what's more, a nod to the previous works.

I loved reading Princess Mia as an adult. I want there to be a whole series of her at this age!
