Mia has always been one of my role models. With every book, she has become more of a friend rather than a character in a YA book. And for that, I am so happy and thankful that Meg Cabot continued this series with the first adult contemporary book in the series.

Royal Wedding did not disappoint. Mia is back and more dramatic, hilarious and compassionate than ever. Also, Michael....heart eyes forever. (Need I say more?) I laughed out loud, as every Princess Diaries book has made me do, and cried. My least favorite part about the book was that it ended because it feels like saying a goodbye/see you later to an old friend! I hope this isn't the last we see of the Princess Diaries...because I NEED more!

Still not the biggest fan of Mia and this series has only been ok for me. I did like this one a lot more than the others. It's nice to see Mia grown up and doing grown up things. I was a little disappointed that she was still as dramatic and childish as she was when she was younger though. But the story was cute and still fun to read.

This was the perfect ending to the series! I had read the first 10 when I was younger and wanted to re-read the whole series this year. Mia is still the amazing person that she was in this book, but she has now matured to being 25 with 25 year old problems! I loved it!

I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS JUST HAPPENED! !!
First of all, it wasn't enough that I was so surprised there was book 11 in the series but then everything veered off to a totally no go zone.

Yes, I will admit, it started going way beyond my zone from book 6 when Mia freaked out over something as not important as that. (don't wanna talk about it ).

But this one definitely took the cake. I mean Mia started off as this total geek, total innocent, shy, misunderstood girl. What went wrong? What happened ?Because how did she being heavy with child before marriage anything to smile and cry about?

Maybe one would say I'm being biased because I'm a Christian and all but I was pretty much disappointed. And I can't believe I read it!

Overall, 2.5 stars.
adventurous funny lighthearted tense fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

I really liked this. I think it helped that I had no real idea going into it what Mia's life would be like at 25 and because I had no idea, Cabot would have been able to sell me on mostly anything.

And I was completely, 100% on board with all of it until
Spoilershe was suddenly pregnant with twins???? Like, I get that she needs an heir, but that was just a bit much and didn't really work for me in the context of this book.

I really, REALLY loved
SpoilerOlivia though and it just made me super happy that Mia had a half sister of her age. I will definitely read the book from her POV now.

I was also really happy that Mia was still friends with the people she was friends with in high school and even worked with some of them. That was excellent. I always really loved her group of girlfriends, and I even liked Lily in this, which is impressive as I never liked her before.

When Mia's life starts crumbling all over her she doesn't know what to do. Her father was arrested, the press thinks she's pregnant with prince Harry's twins, the Genovians are mad because of genetic modified fruit and the love of her life, Mr. Michel Moscovitz, is distant...
In a breathtaking continuation (in adult style) to The Princess Diaries series, Meg Cabot welcomes you welcomes you to the world of "grown up" Mia.
Almost all the characters from the previous books are back and Mia's silliness and clumsiness is here to entertain you once more.
As you dive in in our favourite princess's world we get to know her even better and we also get to know what's been happening in her life lately.
If you already read and loved the previous books you'll certainly love this one too and if you haven't read them you can pick this one up without any problem, since every mention to previous facts is explained, and still love it!
I have to congratulate the author for satisfying her fans hunger for more Mia (and Michael) and I really hope there'll be more of Mia in the following years.
This book is filled with romance, glamour and has an amazing plot, you will fall in love with Mia, Michael and their friends and family and dive right in a real life princess fairy-tale.
If you love romance, international scandals that need to be solved and dysfunctional families you will love this book and should pick it up now!!! You're missing out!

Wow I really loved seeing Mia as an adult and I love a good Royal Wedding!!

It's safe to say that I still adore Mia, her story and her point of view. So much fun!
I love when authors decide to do a what-happened-afterwards kind of book, it was definitely a very satisfying ending to the whole princess diaries.
There was a looot of stuff happening, maybe to the point of there being too much at once. But then again, it wouldn't be a Princess Diaries novel if there weren't a bit of chaos involved. Although I enjoyed the process, I wish there would've been more chapters about the actual wedding.

Fluffy and silly and absolutely perfect in every way.
