Recommending: yes
Short Review: OMG! BEST ONE YET!!! Mia is a way better adult than teenager. I can't say much, too much of this book is major spoilers. Lets just say, it says this is the last book, but the book before this also claimed that, and i hope this goes the same way ;)

Review in GIF Form:

Adult Princess Mia is as engaging and enjoyable as I found teenage Mia when I first read a Princess Diaries book many moons ago. Those looking for lots of wedding details will likely be disappointed as the book focuses more on the lead-up to the wedding (with small tastes of planning) and all of the drama going on in Mia's personal life and that of her father and Genovia. An easy, entertaining, fun read that will be great for those who have been following Mia all along and those, like me, who had fallen off Mia's trail and are just picking it back up again. Meg Cabot rarely disappoints, and Royal Wedding exceeds expectations! Advance reading copy provided by Edelweiss.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Could Cabot return to a series and breath nre life into it?? Why, yes, yes she can. All the fun of the original. My only complaint was slight disappointment for no explicit sex scenes (after all the talk of having an "adult" sequel) Oh well. Otherwise, I don't want to drop any secrets of this awesome book. Just... EEEEEEEEEEEE!! (Also, dare I dream for more books??)

Apparently my solution for boredom is reading The Princess Diaries. This is probably a bad idea.
Not as bad as I feared but all the stuff that annoys me still annoyed me. Good news though. I finally like Lilly again. Guess she just needed some personal growth. There was no manipulation that the author played off as normal in this book. So I can't quite bring myself to regret reading it. Although she really needed to not have JP in this one. That characterisation and personality u-turn is one of my least favourite parts of the series and I would have been much happier not being reminded of it.
Is it a bit all over the place? Yes. Was it still an okay read? Yes.

Three stars for the following reasons:
It dragged out in the beginning
Too many plot lines
Not that much michael x mia feels as the previous books
But otherwise,
I REALLY LOVED IT!! I liked Olivia, I felt like Tina when Philippe got back with Helen, I LOLed, Mia's like my fav character eva! Oh and lars watched pretty little liars, so he's cool too. ;)

Overall, a fun read. Light and airy. It was nice to see some characters that I hadn't read about in years, still up to the predictable shenanigans and cringe worthy decisions that I remember. Didn't particularly love the ending, but it was good enough.
This book won't be perfect to someone who didn't grow up with the series, but to someone who did... WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW.
I didn't know how much I needed this book in my life. As I was reading it, Mia turn 26, just like me. In May, just like me. And that made me probably way too excited but seriously- I started reading this series when I was about 11. It's a big part of my life. My daughter's name is Mia. I have a tattoo of fat Louis. I am pretty obsessed and to suddenly stumble across the 11th part IS A DREAM.
