Glad I read the book before gifting it!
Picked it up, expecting it to be a cozy heartfelt read, and for Takako's days at the store it really was; but then I have been brought back to harsh reality once the focus shifted to Momoko.
I loved Takako's interactions with Satoru, Takano and even Wada and some of the quotes will stay with me for a while.
However, I could not warm up to Momoko and her life choices even though I tried to relate. This was some tough stuff.
Overall I would recommend it - with a disclaimer - for a quick refreshing read with some really nice writing.
