This is a story about new beginning, building yourself up after all seemed lost. Moving on and growing to be a better person.

I really liked how quick and easy this book was to follow, you feel empathy for Takako. You just want things to work out for her. The plot flowed very easily and because it was such a short read it was very easily to follow.

It definitely helps you to reflect on life and how sometimes you need a break from the hustle of busy life and you need to take a journey into a more calmer way of living.

There is a nice amount of character development and you alongside with Takako, you see the big picture.

This book wasn’t too bad, it was a cozy read. I felt for Takako and I think I felt more emotions of anger than she did for her ex boyfriend and for her aunt. I think in all, I was more angry than any of them in the book. 😭 like I get it but with what the ex did by just two timing and how the aunt would just leave and not come back for years, I would be so angry and hold grudges… but you know what, I’m too emotional so maybe that’s it. The whole bookstore was cute though… I’d like to go if I could

This book was truly an amazing read. Sometimes you'll read books for the good plot or characters, but this book is good to escape. The morisaki bookshop now has a new place in my heart for its cozyness. This book really inspired me to go to 2nd hand bookshops more often for the unique finds and vibes. This book taught me that slowing down is also okay sometimes and that an outsiders perspective to your 'hell' or small book filled bedroom can change you for the better.

If you just need a cozy escape to a nice bookshop this book is just what you need
