This book didn't impress me as much as the first two in the Bess Crawford Mystery series.

I liked this book a lot in that it really held my interest and made me want to know what happened next, but parts of it were really not enjoyable because of really messy situations and difficult topics (some of them especially difficult for me personally).

The murder mystery was almost more of a side plot to the family drama, so be prepared for that if you read this one, as well as various kinds of difficult content.
