I gave this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars!! My gosh did I love this whole series so much. The way Nora describes them had me attached to all the characters very early on. I loved the plot and the unique idea of the storyline, which felt like it was done so incredibly well. The quest and internal journeys they went on were so lovely and had me wanting every bit of information I could get. Her writing is so addictive and I'm so sad this series is at an end.

Well, Zoe's was my favorite, but I knew it would be. She's just so ... amazing. Fierce, loyal, loving... but still flawed, so she's not some ultra-perfect precious heroine.

I think I also appreciated that in this book, the guy had to work for it. In book 1, Malory immediately loved Flynn, and he panicked about it while she slowly wore him down. In book 2, Dana inexplicably loved Jordan right from the outset, making it laughably easy for him to win his way back into her life (yeah, I'm still bitter about it). In this one, the hero was the one struck with love at first sight, and he had to patiently wear down the heroine. It was nice.

Now, let's touch on the "patiently" part. I had to remind myself, a few times, that this was a world of magic and fate and etc ... because I knew the narrative wanted me to agree with Brad that Zoe was being stubborn ... but I'm sorry. She's a single mom, and they've known each other for 2 months. I honestly didn't find anything stubborn or unreasonable about her need to take things slowly and be sure, because they were messing with a child's life.

Don't get me wrong, I adored Brad. But the speed of this situation was absurd... and anytime I felt myself creep into that mindset of being angry that everyone from Brad to Malory and Dana felt like Zoe was being unreasonably over-cautious when it had only been like 1 week since she and Brad got together, I just reminded myself of the heavy fated fantastical elements that took this outside of normal reality.

But I loved it. I honestly did. There's a scene between Brad and Simon that had me crying my eyes out, it was so beautiful. And Zoe and Brad are just perfect together.

It's the yearly Nora Roberts read-a-thon. I blame my father. They're his books. But I have to say that although this series had the same "Oh look! Three awesome women! Three sexy but realistic-sorta men! Let's play matchy match! Oh and there's a bad guy and a quest and blah whatever." thing going on, I still found it pretty entertaining.

I will admit that Nora Roberts does create really sexy male characters. I hate her a little for it.

I loved the third book in the series just as much as the other times i've read these books. Zoe was my favourite of the 3 women from the start, she's caring and got a lot of determination and love for others especially her sun Simon. In some ways she had the toughest Journey to go on as she did not have a spicific tallent in regards to what her key may be linked to or at least from her point of view. She was a character who was funny and plucky and produced some of the most jokey moments between the three women. I also loved the way everyone calls brad brad but she always calls him bradley. The banter between Zoe and Brad was brillient throughout all 3 books but this one specially brought that out a lot more.

I really enjoyed this book. It's not the style of book that I usually read, but I enjoyed it. The Key trilogy was my introduction to Nora Roberts. I had never read anything of hers prior to this.
