I can't even say how much I love this book. This series is the best series l've ever read. I've cried and laughed and been angry along with all of these amazing characters and this book just tied everything up so incredibly. It's so hard to leave these characters behind and I really don't want to.
This book is emotional and leaving this series makes it even more difficult. I can't wait to re read this series. I'll always recommend it so they can feel the way I have. I can't think of a single series I've loved more than this.

You know what...
That ending was quite the redemption for the whole series.

So, I've finally finished the "Gone" series by Michael Grant.
I started these books in February and have been reading them sporadically throughout the year.
I may have to write a more detailed review in the future but for now I'll just say that this was an engaging, exciting and at times emotional series full of characters that I both loved and hated.
I wasn't always happy with the way the story developed but overall this was one of the best YA series that I've read.

This book... this book. Everyone should read this series for this book. I don't even know where to start. The character development is uncanny. People who started off as rivals, work together for the common good. People who don't usually get aggressive or sarcastic, lose their sh*t. People who you didn't particularly like, are now your saviours. I just loved every part of it.
The pace, oh my word, the pace is perfect. Enough chill time between characters, enough hell breaks lose on them. You never get bored, and you never get overwhelmed. It's balanced perfectly to my taste.
The aftermath was pretty fulfilling as well. Enough was explained for me to feel satisfied, but you also don't get a '20 years later epilogue' (which I don't particularly like). This book made me cry, laugh; made me stressed, happy. Honestly, my favourite book series is The Gone Series. No doubt in that.

Just about any book that makes me cry gets five stars. What a way to go out. These were tough because they’re so raw and it’s so easy to imagine the trauma that these kids are enduring. To know that the things they went through aren’t thing that can be recovered from. That’s a damn good book to me
