A long time ago I've seen a few episodes of the serie but I never finished it, but then I saw this book in de library for sale for maybe 33 cents total. So I decided to read it instead. It's not the best crime novel I've ever read in my life and the middle of the book was quite boring, but the last 150 pages made up for it. So 3.5/5 in the end.

Very good but perhaps a bit too long. I already knew who did it because I’d seen the TV show multiple times and remembered it well, so I might be marking it down for that.

So I kept reading, and kept reading, and kept reading. I didnt hate this book, I didn't love it. The end was a little surprising, but it wasnt a 'wow'. The characters were a bit bland. I would have loved to have met the character that dies in the beginning. And then I realized I wanted to meet him because none of the other characters were really entertaining me.

A pretty good mystery until the end. I was slightly underwhelmed by who ended up being the antagonist and didn't totally buy the reasoning behind the crime, but ongoing suspense makes for a good read for me.
