3.5/5 - not every fantasy book needs to be 800 pages. The last 75 pages were great though.

I’m screaming. I’m crying. I didn’t know a book could be this good, especially coming off the heels of House of Earth and Blood. In true SJM fashion, this book takes the reader on a journey filled with so many whirls and twirls you’ll have no clear idea what’s happening in the best possible way.

Second read - All the stars ✨✨✨✨✨ I need more friends to read this so I have people to freak out with on 1/30 when CC3 is released. Ignore my first review. I don’t know what I was thinking. I may have been overwhelmed because there is just SO MUCH going on it’s hard to process. listened on audio this time and OMG I’m obsessed. It made some parts funnier, crazier or more heartbreaking. This is definitely the Empire Strikes Back book of the series and puts so many pieces in place for the next book. Love, love, love every one of the characters in the core group, I don’t know if I can pick a favorite. Every story line was gripping (even Tharion’s). I am excited and terrified for CC3. I may need to read spoilers because I don’t think I’ll be able to wait 800+ pages to see if these characters are ok.

First Read - I was so confused most of the time. I thought I didn’t care about the plot other than the day/night and Ithan scenes, but I can’t stop thinking about it. The last chapter though!! So excited to see what happens with that in CC3. May need to do a re-read before that comes out.
