Very good and insightful. It was kind of boring but I am bias because I had to read this for ENG 102.

I couldn't put this down. Heumann's life is fascinating and I enjoyed learning about her and from her. I learned so much from this book.

I’d like to give Judith Heumann 5 stars for being such a kickass person, and the book 3 stars for being solid, but not giving me as much as her personal life as I’d like.

4.5 - wow. this was powerful. Reading about the sit in in particular, I could feel it in my chest. I was able to relate to it, the songs and the circle and the security and the confused staff, but this sit in was 10 times more powerful than anything I’ve done - they kept pushing, didn’t settle or allow themselves to be swayed, and they created change. Over the years I’ve been frustrated and burnt out with activism and politics but this reminded me what it’s all about. I knew very little about disability civil rights before reading this, and it’s something we should know about.
