Ariadne fights to define her own future and destiny in world where men make the decisions and the Gods chew up and spit out any mortal they encounter!

I would be Medusa, if it came to it, I resolved. . . . I would wear the coronet of snakes, and the world shrink from me instead.

I loved everything about Part I! But Part II and on were really slow and just not as compelling. I loved the Phaedra chapters and thought fleshing out her charachter really added to the story. I wish Jennifer Saint had spent more time with Phaedra.

The writing in this book is great, but the plot's scope is too wide. There was no catharsis, no climax, it felt more like a collection of stories than one cohesive novel.
