Fantastic language that really puts you in the mind of a society of warrior, poets obsessed with literature and drama.

The only annoyance is the naming system, whilst novel, made it hard for me to keep track of characters. This could be a dyslexia issue however it did cause important moments to bypass me until I re-read them.

Absolutely amazing world building and a very interesting palace intrigue type story line. Unfortunately it took until I was 250 pages in for it to really grab me and by that time I was more interested in finishing the book than the story. I may pick up the sequel but it's moved arr down on the list.
