Oh hell. Another drakul. I finished this book with an ominous feeling and I'm a little terrified to read on. Everyone's still afraid of Caleb and now he and John have been separated at work and I'm worried what this means for the future.
2020 review: Continuing my reread of SPECTR, we reach this book which hurts me a little in anticipation of the absolute pain in the book that follows. An appetizer angst, if you will. (Love it, though, even if it hurts.)

Need the next book right away
Excellent story, I love watching the characters interact. For me, too much cliffhanger at the end - it felt more like the chapter of a longer story than a completed book.

Another brilliant instalment in what is far and away my fave contemporary series. I really love the ongoing saga--it uses all the greatest pulp tricks, the individually satisfying episodes and the growing terror of the series arc, to fab effect. Can't wait to see where the latest plot twist goes.
