Still can’t decide my rating…. I didn’t love it but didn’t hate it so going middle of the road…

This was weird to read during COVID since this book had a flu epidemic that was parallel to the COVID outbreak… so that was weird haha

Okay for the book, I wished we got Caleb’s POV during this, I think that would have made this stronger. I will say there were many things I liked from this book, how Urho and Xan redeemed themselves from book one.

And I can tell that moving forward Leta Blake takes the “enemies” of the main characters or the unfavorable characters of one book and give them a chance to make you love them.

I don’t think I am going to continue with this series. Each book is long, full of steam and angst. I can’t deal with that much angst back to back to back. So I need to take a break. Michael Ferraioulo really helped bring this book to life and I always love his narrations!

I do recommend this book if you liked the first book, but compared to book one this one was darker.

xan and urho? not what i thought it would be since urho was an asshole (but i understand him) in the first book. BUT THEY WERE SO HOT, OMGGGG i swear gay fake men have a chokehold on me on how freaking cute their relationships are, how they take care of each other, HOW THEY UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER AND DOES ANYTHING POSSIBLE TO HELP THEIR PARTNER <3

did not dissapoint! loveloveloveeee

I read this a couple of weeks ago… but I’ve been more sick (above & beyond chronic illness) and have sworn I’d catch up on writing reviews, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon.

So - quick note is I really enjoyed this one. Maybe even more than the last. It is a bit “grittier” though. Not bad, just different than the first one.

4.5 Wonderful Hearts

Thankfully, this still remains one of the best ABO series/stories I’ve ever read, as it continues to not slack in the world building nor the complex cultural constructs on what it means to be an alpha, a beta, and an omega. This further expands on the nuanced dynamic of how each type is forced into roles, rules, laws and regulations - all dictating how one should be and who they should be with.

Fear not that this is some extensive boring societal commentary. It uniquely sets things up while still being an impactfully poignant, angsty sexy romance.

I’m not going to give a detailed review because there are many great ones out there already explaining such. Just know that this is a multilayered tale of one alpha who wishes he was different, who wishes his desires weren’t “wrong” and illegal, and how he’s saved from his destructive ways by the devoted love of another who also defies the laws and social norms to be with him.

Perhaps as a warning, this contains an age gap, a second chance at love, and an unique sexual dynamic that monogamist purists might not appreciate. Believe you me, I’m typically one of those but the situation here just works, and all involved are happy and content. I absolutely reveled in the interactions between the two MC’s Xan and Urho, which were sweetly full of hurt comfort, simmered with some seriously hot sexual tension, and overflowed with plenty of delicious dirty with that oh so coveted KNOTTING. Unf.

To sweeten the pot, this was again narrated by the fantabulous Michael Ferraiuolo. He’s definitely a dream come true to my ears, and he only served to further elevate an already great story!

This series by far is my favorite creation from Blake, and I hope she doesn't disappoint and continues to give us more food for thought, more twisty hurt-so-good love stories in this really, truly impressive original ABO universe!

Thank you to the author/publisher for the audio in exchange for a honest review

I’ll admit it took a bit to get into this story. And I honestly hated the first 20ish percent but after that I loved it. It was unique and different and oh so hot! But also so sweet and satisfying. Can’t wait for more in this series

Admittedly wasn't so sure about the main mcs when met them in slow heat and yep I was wrong these 2 men along with Caleb are a beautiful throple. They each need each other in a special way but have strong enough love and hope to not be jealous of past mistakes or issues

The fact that this might be better than the OG couple?? Incredible, I’m gagged. I will need to reread soon.
