I went into this book afraid but also wanting to read it desperately.
The entire book is about 100 pages and is a collection of questions and answers that are rarely longer than one page. It is a short read but you will get a lot out of it.
Stories like Hédi’s need to be read, listened to and shared.
Thank you to Scribe UK and Edelweiss+ for this DRC.

90 year old Auschwitz survivor Heidi Fried has spent the past 30 years lecturing and writing about the Holocaust. In this slim book she compiles answers to the 45 questions she is most commonly asked, primarily by schoolchildren. Ranging from the mundane, (“How were you dressed?”) to the deeply philosophical, (“Do you still believe in God?”) Fried s answers reveal her to be a highly intelligent, thoughtful woman who wrestles honestly with her trauma, rage and grief. Her attempts to explain racial hatred , bullying and “othering” and her acknowledgement of her own prejudices make this an especially helpful guide for young people.

En bok ALLA borde läsa, faktiskt. Så att vi inte upprepar historien. Lätt att förstå och med många kloka tankar. Bara läs den, okej!?
Fantastisk bok med viktigt innehåll. Bra uppbyggd också.
