It takes a great mind to come up with this story, to have the ability to put it to paper. 
It is such a classic that has been retold over and over in different ways.

But this book, (as horrible and sacrilege as it is) is not my favorite version.
I was just a little bored, and I guess because I knew what was coming, I found myself just trying to get through certain points to get to the next part.

This is a short but fun classic. Dickens addressed many issues of his day and while this is a fun, light read it also shows how one person can play a part in overcoming poverty.

I've always loved this movie but had never read or listened to the book. When looking for an audio book, I saw this one was available through the library and it was read by Jim Dale (who I'd heard narrate one of the Harry Potter audio books) so I got it. I was not disappointed! I was worried that the writing would be too flowery and poetic (I've never had to read Dickens in any literature classes) and though it may have been as bit, it was easy to understand and I really enjoyed it!
