When Dickens is kept to a word limit, I actually enjoy reading his books.
I've seen many movies and read other versions. I'm glad to have finally read the original.
I always said I hate Charles Dickens.
…do I love Charles Dickens? This story was so powerful. I cried multiple times. Such a wonderful December treat!

I know the story well, but first time reading it. No adaptation does justice to Dickens portrayal of this timeless tale. Perfect read on Christmas Eve Eve.
Probably worth five stars, but I am so familiar with the story that I found myself bored at times. But you have to give Dickens credit for coming up with a story and characters so strong that we know them still. I think the name of Scrooge has to be one of the most recognized in the western world.
First time reading it and it’s as good as the movies
Charles Dickens really being out there telling you to redistribute the wealth in Christmas 1843.
