I had ever read this book until now (thank you free e-books!) and I'm glad I read it. It's a nice reminder of what's important in life and to appreciate what we have, despite all the bad things that could be happening to us and around us. I'm not one to re-read books, but this might be the exception.

I absolutely love Ebenezer Scrudge. He's my idol.

Aside from the topical jokes that only made sense to people in 1843, this really holds up.

One of my favorite stories of all time even though this is the first time I've read it. I've watched George C. Scott's version of A Christmas Carol every year since I was 8 or 9 and can quote all of it...which is probably why I never felt the need to read it. Glad I did. Tim Curry, who I also love, was okay here. His voice for a few of the characters was strange (very Riff Raff from RHPS) and didn't fit the tone of the character and was at times grating so I switched to reading the book, but overall I enjoyed it.

A Christmas classic!

While the initial beginning might have started off slow the story picks up quickly and you find yourself unable to put the book down until you’ve reach a good spot for it (like the end of the chapter). The ending is the best part of it all; made my heart smile with joy - and also made me wish it was Christmas all over again ☺️
