I really liked this book, which is weird because I usually don't enjoy the trope of friends to lovers. But it was done in a way that I didn't doubt that they were truly friends in the past. It was slow and progressive, so I truly ended up believing that they fell in love after. I loved the steaminess and how funny the characters were. I loved most of this book.
What I didn't like about this book was the final conflict was a miscommunication, which I hate. But in the end, I enjoyed most of the book... so whatever.
I would recommend this book for everyone who enjoys romance books, especially if you like friends to love books.
The book was a 5 stats for the first half, and then I was bored of reading them going out of their way to not speak to each other. They passed from having a years-long friendship to not talking at all. And the MC started dating her abusive ex-boyfriend like nothing (I hated him, and the fact that the gaslighting wasn't addressed at all in the book was so annoying). It felt so frustrating that I was about to give it 3 stars because of that.
