i personally don’t care for spies or the mafia so didn’t get a lot from this one. also a crazy amount of police entrapment and abuse of power in my silly little cozy mystery here

This group of senior citizen detectives continues to delight. I marvel at the way Osman interweaves the sweet and the bitter into his books, and multiple parts of this one just tugged at my heart strings. I really can't wait to read about what the Thursday Murder Club will get up to next.

Not a standalone read, so only read this if you have read the first of the series. This was even better than the first of the series - perhaps because I was already fully invested in the little gang of protagonists! But I do think the story itself was better and the flow of the writing and story was more successful.
