5.0

This is really three books in one, arguably averaging out to 5 stars.

"Graffiti Kitchen" gets 6 stars; it's one of the best things I've ever read, a stone classic. Drool. Seriously.

"Little Italy" is pretty lightweight for the most part, but intentionally so. Maybe 3.5 stars. The eponymous story stuck in the middle is perhaps the best part.

"Dance of Life Death" is a solid 4 stars, reading in many ways like a prequel to "After the Snooter" (which is probably better, not to say "Lifey Death" isn't great). It's very episodic, for better or worse, but also utterly smart and charming. And features some of the best use of zip-o-tone I've ever seen. Campbell was really magic with the stuff at this point.
