Reread. I remember being encouraged to read this for fun when it first came out. I really enjoyed it upon this reread. Kinda empowering.

As a young person, an adult made me read this. It was an interesting enough story with a good message about environmentalism. I felt zero engagement with the characters but wished them well saving owls.

This was a cute story. It was predictable, but a nice break from some of the more serious reads I've done lately.
