This was funny and nonsensical in a way that seems to reflect the Moldovan spirit. I liked it, it was different. It was deceiving Lu simple, and quite brutal sometimes despite the humor. The narrator also made what I can imagine is a Moldovan accent in English, which I am not sure if it was cute or offensive.

I received this book from a firstreads giveaway.

Honest review: It was good, and quirky, and entertaining.

The bad: I didn't understand it. I didn't understand the point of it all. Perhaps I might if I lived in that area, or had knowledge of the communist vs. soviet upset. But I don't. Each chapter was entertaining by itself, but it wasn't exactly the first book I reached for.

I laughed out loud a couple times. Funny, in a demented sort of way.
