Not a bad story, but predictable

Overall the story was good, it was just easy to figure out what was going to happen before it did. Being able I guess what would do!a next made the book drag out.

This one is okay. Didn't really care about any of the characters or the plot. But I'm still interested to see what happens in this series.
Trigger Warning: persecution for witchcraft, death from childbirth mentioned, v*miting, animal death, graphic injuries and blood, medical procedure, death, graphic animal attack (rats), and buried alive

A beautifully written book. Lovely wordage that let's you escape to mystical Wales. There were some bits that I thought dragged on a little, which is why this book is a solid 4 and not a 5. But whatever this story lacked in pace it made up for in imagery, characters and mystery.

Kudos as well to Paula Brackston for making the main character mute. I've never read a story with this representation, and I believe she did it very well!

This story was amazing. I laughed, I cried, and I did not want it to end. The audiobook was narrated beautifully, also.
