A Different Type of Love Story with Heart

I love those "where are they now" type stories. I knew after reading Candy Boys that Candy, Joel, and Jet's story wasn't over. These three people so in love had more of a story to tell, things to experience and walls to let down and breakdown.

I think Candy was the glue that held them all together. She was a calm in this brewing storm. She was what the boys needed to break through their insecurities and open themselves to their new love. Her openness and acceptance allowed them to slowly follow. It was a beautiful thing to see develop.

Candy Ever After is a must read if you like a different type of love story that still delivers with heat, a bit of angst and a heart warming ending.

I'm OCD and an obvious masochist apparently...

Not what I was hoping for.

This was a nice extended epilogue (as the author calls it). It was nice to see Joel actually face his parents, though I'd hoped it would have a different outcome. I loved that the three of them decided to have a "family" party, to really come out as a trio to their families, and I was glad Joel's sister was more open-minded than their parents (kinda makes me want to read her story). Candy's mom was so inappropriate, but she was a hoot. I'm glad her parents also came to an agreement as opposed to parting ways after so long together. And, of course, Joe's cherry was popped, which was kinda hot. I will say that while the first one was smoking hot, for some reason, this one was just steamy to me. Still, their mutual love for each other was evident throughout, and I was satisfied with the "conclusion".

2.5 Serious or OTT Ridiculous?? Stars

To me this book suffered an identity crisis not sure if it was meant to be serious or OTT ridiculous. One minute Candy's mum is asking her advice on vibrating butt plugs then in the next Joel was struggling with life altering decisions and it was all serious.

I love both serious genre's and ridiculous ones but for me they don't mix well, I have read a few good ones, the writing has to be fantastic to make it work and this one just didn't get there. If she had stuck with the ridiculous and funny stuff I think it would have worked better.

What spoilt this book and the first for me was this threesome felt like a twosome, Jethro and Joel with the third wheel being Candy. Even while all three were having sex it was all about the two guys getting off by feeling each other, just made me feel sorry for Candy.

But Candy was all like:

And didn't seem to mind being the third wheel at all ;)

For me this was more an addition to the first book rather than a HEA, the way it wrapped up left things wide open. If you enjoyed the first book I am sure you will like this little addition :)

Candy ever after

I really enjoyed this book, as well as the first part. Really well written. Can't wait to see what's next from this author.

This story picks up right where we left off. Candy and her boys are living together and are still dealing with The aftermath of Jets attack. Joel must also come to terms with his love for Jet and Candy and what that means in respect to his family. Candy’s mom is still oversharing and we get to meet her brother. Overall a great close to their story and a start to others. I think I said it in my last review but, I really believe their love for each other. Other ménage books seem ridiculous or forced, I completely believe in the love story created here. I’m looking forward to read more of Ms Ravens books!
