3.56 AVERAGE

I listened to the audio, the story plot was great, the narrator was not good, I had a hard time with the narrator's voices she gave to each character. 3.5 stars, rounding up.

Here again is your signature Hallmark Christmas movie. While the romances were predictable, I truly enjoyed the evolving of the relationship between the sisters and Carmen and her nieces and nephew. Super cute holiday read.

Carmen returns home to live with her sister after things get a bit messy. She resorts to working at a dusty old bookshop. After learning how poorly it's doing, Carmen uses her previous experience to bring life and business back to the shop.
This love triangle definitely had me rooting for Oke. I couldn't help but adore his demeanor and interactions with Carmen.
Jenny creates a phenomenal character arc for Carmen. She grows as a person, sister, employee, and friend. It's exactly why I love this genre so much.
I enjoyed the narration by Eilidh Beaton. I am a big fan of narrators with versatile voices and accents. It makes the listen so much easier to instantly know who is speaking based on the inflection.
Thank you to Harper Audio for the alc. All thoughts in this review are my own.

that was so stupid and bad even jolly vibes couldn’t save the second half

First time I’ve read a Christmas romcom, always feared I’d just cringe my way through it. But it was bloody lovely and took my imagination away to pretty little (not so little) Edinburgh. Again touching on the importance of family and those around you, when you may not realise it.

Catch me going to Edinburgh next Christmas to try find this cute little bookshop, and on the look out for mice in the window!

I enjoyed this book....a little bit of cozy set in Edinburgh. Family, a bookstore and perhaps just enough romance to make it well rounded. Look forward to reading more of this author.

It was cute, the children were the best part. Not really a page turner though, took me a bit to get through it
