Easy and fun Christmas read that takes you to Edinburgh
Super cute story and a fast read! I loved all the characters and the setting of Edinburgh. Add in a bookstore and the Christmas season and you have a perfectly cozy book great for a snowy, weekend read
3.5 ⭐️
Two sisters, living entirely different adult lives.
Sofia, the elder one. A famous lawyer in Edinburgh, living with her husband & 3 kids & expecting the 4th one, with her luxurious lifestyle.
Carmen, the younger one working in a shop as a salesperson, who's currently jobless with no boyfriend.
When the situation puts these sisters together with Carmen staying at Sofia's house since Sofia arranged her a job in one of her clients, almost shutting down bookshop to make it back stable.
The relation between the two sisters is so complicated. One is jealous & the other is mean, rude, insensitive.
So obviously the development in their relation is also mentioned in the book.
The Love triangle only felt like a sub-plot & I'm thankful for that.
Blair, the writer: Felt like a playboy character, selfish & unserious
Oke(Obedience), the professor : Genuine, & soft.
And the most annoying character, Skylar. Oh God Idk how much I've cursed that bl00dy-blondie vile wench of a so-called human being.
The kids who are really different from each other. But I really loved Phoebe. She's a sweetheart.
Not to mention. Mr. McCredie. I really loved the bond developed between Carmen & him. That was so good to watch. And Mr. McCredie's story gave a warmth to the whole book, it was like the cherry on top.
In total, it was good.......as a holiday read.

Cute and easy Christmas read. A lot of things going on in this book which means you don't really get a deep-dive into the storylines but cute nonetheless.
