I enjoyed Wolf's story of his upbringing in Oregon, coming from a unique perspective and circumstances. His writing about being at the Pulse nightclub at the time of the mass murder that took place there was also terrifyingly effective. Following that turning point, I could feel his desire to keep the memories of his friends alive, but much of the latter part of the book got repetitive and bogged down under the weight of trying to articulate the importance of that to him. Arguably, since the shooting, Wolf has gotten caught up in repeating the same details to numerous news outlets in his efforts toward meaningful political change, which could be informing some of that and how it is relayed here.
