Interesting and enjoyable but the main character is so stiff. I realize that's his character but it was annoying by the end of the book. He relationship with Jane Roland was the one area where he wasn't quite so formal, but it's glossed over. It would have made a nice contrast if we could have seen the development of their relationship.

The dragons didn't quite make sense to me - how exactly were they talking? Sometimes they seemed like slaves/animals and sometimes like intelligent independent beings. How exactly do they breed sentient creatures - do the dragons not have an opinion?

I don't know if it's the audio that I'm struggling with or if this book is just really boring. I can't find it in myself to care what happens.

When I was growing up I loved artichokes, but I would never eat the artichoke heart, so I would always give them to my mother. They just looked unappealing to me. Until one day I said "To hell with it, I'm gonna try it". I never knew they were the best part of the artichoke, and it was a sad day for my mother.
This book is my artichoke heart! Why did I wait so long to read this?!?! His Majesty's Dragon has three of my favorite things: History, Fantasy, and DRAGONS!!! Hot damn this was so good!!! I have them all, and I will be plowing through them this year! Wow, what a treat!!!

Fun story but the author is semicolon happy. I'd usually encounter two semicolons per Kindle reading page!
