This was a fun and brezzy book to read. I read this in a day and i just so happened to go to the beach that day. I suffered secondhand embarrassment while reading this but it was funny how often she embarrassed herself. But she makes me want to go to a book festival so bad.

First of all, I have to mention this beautifully bright cover. It pairs perfectly with the debut book, using similar colours and a similar layout. All of these illustrations were also done by Chloe herself. I love it when the author is also the illustrator, especially when they are as talented as Chloe.

Just like in her first book, Chloe's writing is very humorous and had me laughing out loud on several occasions. There are so many funny moments that showcase Chloe's true talent for comedic writing. It really was a joy to read, even with the cringey moments in there.

It was great to read more about characters that had already been introduced in the previous book, building on their personalities and following them through another book-related adventure. I enjoyed where this book took place, it was a nice setting to read about at the end of the summer.

I'm not going to say too much more about it because I don't want to end up spoiling anything if you haven't yet read the first book.

I enjoyed this book so much. A book about books is just what you need sometimes and when I picked this up it was exactly the kind of book I needed to read. I definitely recommend this for a funny, enjoyable read, but obviously make sure that you read Bookshop Girl first.

I'm also excited that there's a little announcement on the last page to let you know that there will be a third book coming soon. I can't wait to see what happens with Paige next, especially as it says it will be set in Paris!

This is a more than worthy follow up to the first Paige Turner book with the same sparkling wit and enthusiasm but this time transported to a literature festival. It’s always been my dream to visit a literature festival so it was great to live that vicariously through Paige and co.
I finished this book even quicker than I finished the first one because I literally could not put it down and it’s the perfect length to take in a handbag for a long weekend or a train journey.
I found the plot dragged a little towards the middle but the characters are engaging enough that you wanted to persevere and keep going to the very satisfying end of the story. I hope there will be more Paige Turner stories to come in the future.

The second book in the series follows Paige and her best friend Holly on from their adventure of saving their little bookshop in their home town and all the way to Skegton-on-sea for the biggest literary festival ever.

Just from reading the first book, I knew instantly that the second would bring even more laughter and 'aww' moments with the girls. We get a chance to see Paige meet and hopefully find a really nice boy again while trying to survive the demands of a Romance novelist who just seems to be the worst thing since mushy peas according to Paige.
We see both Paige and Holly's ups and downs of working somewhere new, somewhere where they have never been before and not only try to survive the hassle of fans and the dreadful colour pink, but to try and meet their favorite author and illustrator. But sometimes, meeting your idols aren't always the best thing to do...neither are they when you sneak after them (thanks Holly), to try and spy on what they are doing...it's just going to end in disaster.

Filled with stomach churning funny moments, Life's a beach is a quick witted read which is going to leave you wanting more and more of Paige and Holly's adventures, both in and out of their little bookshop in the middle of a town no one has ever really heard of.

The second adventure of best friends Paige and Holly see them set off to a book festival in Skegton-On-Sea to work and (they hope) to meet famous writers especially one young and hot illustrator.

Everything doesn't go to plan for poor Paige, she meets a hot native of Skegton and manages to fall off his moped, having to pick up dog poo from one of the book tents to accidently disturbing several young readers when fainting in a costume.

A quick fun, fast paced humorous second book by Chloe Coles. It had me laughing out loud in several places and you cant help but see yourself in the young Paige at aged 16! Definite read for those who want to chuckle and literally cringe along with Paige and Holly.

Thank you to Readers First for providing me with this book to read and review.

Best friends Holly & Paige have wrangled their way to the hottest literary festival around at Skegton-On-Sea. They are totally infectious... their love of books and their need to be at one of the biggest literary festivals ever is totally relatable! But life is never as straightforward as it seems and soon Holly is stranded with author Lady Rockwell and her DIVA demands. Is this a bookshop girls dream or nightmare? Join the dynamic duo on their hilarious trip, to find out!

Coles' writing is engaging, easy-to-follow (for the younger audience it's aimed at) and entertaining. You'll soon be laughing at the antics the girls find themselves in. Among the fun and games, there are important topics brilliantly addressed as the girls experience the highs and lows of being teenagers.

Paige Turner is the funniest, feistiest and feminist character since Louise Rennison's Georgia Nicolson!

I love Paige Turner and the adventures she goes on so much, I can't wait for the 3rd book! I started reading this on my way home to Ramsgate and it made me feel so full of pride for seaside towns, they deserve all the love and respect. I kinda wanna try reading a romance novel now, thanks Paige!
